About this Speaker
Dr Facchiano is Oncology Specialist at Istituto Dermopatico dell’Immacolata, IDI-IRCCS, Rome. He is Professor of Biochemistry at University Tor Vergata, Rome. His current fields of interest are: novel approaches to melanoma therapy and diagnosis; identification of early non-invasive melanoma markers; cytokines expression in biological fluids of human cancer patients; identification and development of novel inhibitors of angiogenesis and tumor growth, with particular reference to melanoma; molecular properties of angiogenic factors, active peptides and inhibitors of integrins, in clinically relevant conditions (neo-angiogenesis, cancer); structure-function relationships in proteins.
